Help your child bloom and grow this fall with social skills groups!

The authors of Cleape launched: CLEAR Child Psychology.

Exciting News!

Clear Child Psychology is excited to announce social skills groups for pre-teens and teenagers beginning this summer at our Broomfield location!

What are Social Skills Groups?

Social skills groups can help children become more comfortable and confident in social situations. Groups can help children learn to listen to others and to join in with their peers.

The Details

Groups will meet on Tuesday evenings for 10 weeks. The group is developed for 6 to 12 participants within the same age range. The group model we use is research-based.

Research-based?

Groups will utilize a slightly modified PEERs model developed by Dr. Elizabeth Laugeson, a professor and researcher at UCLA. Originally developed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in mind, the group model has been helpful for teenagers and young adults with social challenges that stem from other difficulties too, like ADHD and anxiety.

The Fine Print

Group leaders need you to commit to a minimum of 6 of the 10 sessions to join. The cost is $50 per session. Parent/ caregiver information is provided for each week, and homework is assigned to practice the social skills introduced.

Interested?

Call or email Clear Child Psychology to see if you might be a good fit for our group! Provide information on your child’s age, grade and any particular needs for skills to learn (to be more comfortable /confident in social situations, listen to others, join in with peers).
