Professionals

Welcome to the Professionals page of the Cleape.com site. Here you will learn about the various types of licensed clinicians that may be able to help your child. The authors of this site have found it far too often that parents feel lost when they seek help for their children. They are caught up in a swirling sea of potential mental health professionals, types of therapies, and possible evaluations. How do you know where to go when you have a concern about your child? Should you talk to the school? Should you go to the Children’s Hospital? What are all of these private clinics? Do you need Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or Psychotherapy? One of the main purposes of the Cleape site is to clear this up for parents.

Every article on the site has a list of professionals under the Where to go for help section. Here you will find links to an article that describes when and why you might need to access a professional with those skills and credentials. The articles in this section further describe those professionals, their training, what they do in mental health, and how to find a good one.

At this point, you have a couple potential options for care. You can select a professional and seek out one of these clinicians in your area to have therapy or an evaluation for your child. Alternatively, you can click on one of the links to CLEAR and get a live consultation or customized profile from one of our psychologists.

No matter what option you choose, the information here can help you save precious time and money in getting your child help right away. Rather than the random walk from professional to professional with little help or direction, this site leads you to the professionals you need right now. Early intervention is the key to much of the positive outcomes we see in mental health. Finding the right professional as soon as possible is your first step in making that happen.
